NUS Master of Science (Financial Engineering) Program (MFE) is a comprehensive program that will prepare you for a career in the financial industry and advance the careers of those already working here. We are confident our comprehensive, industry-focused education in the NUS MFE will prepare you for the workforce of today and the future. The tools of financial engineering are being steadily adapted not only by incorporating the lessons from the crisis, but also by proactively looking at the challenges ahead.

- Relevant and balanced curriculum
NUS MFE's integrated curriculum distinguishes itself by striving to shape the students into ‘doers’ – people with the theoretical background necessary to approach complex financial problems and the practical know-how to solve these problems. Its up-to-date curriculum addresses current issues and gives students highly sought-after skills required by the evolving financial industry.
- Leading teaching faculty
The teaching faculty comprises of academic staff from various department of NUS such as the Department of Finance, Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Probability, as well as senior bankers and practitioners in the relevant field.
- Bespoke career development
As a regional financial centre, Singapore offers the MFE students unique job prospects. The Program is dedicated to preparing students for their career as soon as they start. It provides various career services and highly personalized assistance that align with students’ career ambitions. Over the past five years, an average of 92% of our full-time graduates have obtained full-time jobs prior to graduation, among which 96% are in the financial industry, and 50% in Singapore.
- Flexible program structure
The Program has one intake per year, with candidates joining in August. It is offered as a full time program, a part time program as well as a distance learning program. The minimum and maximum periods of candidature are 1 year and 2 years for full time students. The minimum and maximum periods of candidature are 18 months and 4 years for the part time and distance learning students.
