Dr Sigrid Rouam - VP, Head of Data Science
Sigrid is currently leading the data science team at SGX. She moved to Singapore 11 years ago to finish her PhD in Statistics, jointly conducted at A*STAR (GIS) and Université Paris Sud. After her post doc, she decided to move to the private sector gaining experience in several industries, namely FMCG, Telco and Finance. Her current role is to establish and grow the data science capability and team at SGX.
Li Chen - Senior Data Scientist
Li Chen is Senior Data Scientist at Singapore Exchange. Formerly, he worked in the Semiconductor and IT industries in engineering science and solution development. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from NUS. Currently he is a MComp student at SOC. Over the past few years, he has been leading several data driven projects and delivered data driven solutions in different industries.
About the Talk
As one of the key innovation drivers of the Singapore Exchange, the Data & Analytics unit is not only involved in new and exciting emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning and Big Data, but also has the responsibility to design the data architecture and infrastructure, manage the integrity of the data, develop data dictionaries and models to govern the data, and finally to build advanced analytics and visualization that will transform and imbue a data-driven culture. In this seminar, we will give an overview of SGX and the internship program and deep dive in use cases.
