NUS MFE Early Admission

April 2019 Starting with the 2020 application cycle, RMI announced that it will offer early admission to the MFE Program. The early admission offers will be particularly attractive to applicants with consistently strong academic records and accomplishments. It will empower such applicants to make a choice early. The early admission has also adopted a simplified approach to application packages with only online application and uploading of selected documents being compulsory at this stage. Interested applicants may log in the online application system from 1 May to 30 June 2019 (for 2020 intake) to submit your application for early admission. Early admission results will be out between mid-June to mid-July. Unsuccessful applications will be deferred and reviewed again during the regular admission cycle (1 October 2019 to 15 March 2020).

MFE Information Sessions – Beijing and Shanghai

24 & 28 April 2019 On 24 and 28 April 2019, RMI held two information sessions in Beijing and Shanghai respectively, to promote the program and the launch of its early admission starting with the 2020 application cycle. RMI’s Acting Director Professor Sun Yeneng briefed the participants on the procedure, timeline, and requirements for the early admissions and answered the questions from the audience. More than 60 graduating students from various top Chinese Universities were in attendance for the talks, with a keen interest in pursuing the MFE Program.

The Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MFE) is a multi-disciplinary program that combines finance, mathematics, and computing with a practical orientation to solve problems in finance. The MFE was launched in 1999 by the Centre for Financial Engineering at NUS, the predecessor to RMI. It aims to equip finance and banking industry professionals and fresh graduates with current knowledge and skills in financial innovations and technology. NUS RMI Specialist Diploma in Credit Risk Management – Corporate Banking

5 March to 9 May 2019 From 5 March to 9 May 2019, RMI conducted one of its specialized certification programs, the NUS RMI Specialist Diploma in Credit Risk Management (CRM) – Corporate Banking. The program comprises three modules and is designed to enable credit practitioners to review real market situations and to bring credit professionals’ analysis skills to an advanced level. Topics covered under the program include; CRM objectives, strategies and framework, credit risk policies and procedures, credit risk mitigation, credit risk controls, tools and processes, structure and governance framework, best practices in CRM, among others. This was the second year that this Program has been offered as an open enrollment program and it has received very positive response from participants.
