Zhu Yanqi joined RMI CRI team as a Research Analyst on 13 August 2018. Yanqi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from National University of Singapore (NUS). She is now a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at NUS. Her research interest is in the area of macroeconometrics.

Luo Weixiao joined RMI CRI team on 25 September 2018 as a Research Analyst. Weixiao holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China. She has recently obtained her Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from Singapore Management University (SMU).

A/P Chen Yi-Chun joined RMI as the Deputy Director starting on 1 November 2018. A/P Chen received his PhD Degree in Economics from Northwestern University and joined the Department of Economics at NUS in 2009. He has been teaching and doing research in microeconomics and game theory with a focus on the design of mechanisms to implement various social and economic objectives. He joined Dean's office of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in 2015 to serve as an Assistant Dean for the Division of Undergraduate Studies. Starting from August of 2017, he has been serving as the Vice Dean of International Relations and Special Duties who looks after the student exchange programmes and the summer programme FASStrack Asia.

A/P Chen's scientific contributions have appeared in leading academic journals in economics, including Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, Theoretical Economics, and Games and Economic Behavior. A/P Chen received the Award of Promising Researcher from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in 2010. He has served as the organizing secretary of the 2013 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society with over 600 participants and a co-chair of the IMS summer programme - Dynamic Models in Economics in 2018 with more than 140 participants. A/P Chen grew up in Taiwan and obtained his BBA in Accounting (2000) and MA in Economics (2002) from National Taiwan University.

A/P Wan Xiangwei visited RMI from 16 July to 14 August 2018. A/P Wan has been an Assistant Professor at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2011. He received a PhD in Financial Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010 and got a BSc in Mathematics at University of Science and Technology of China in 2006. His main research interests are in financial engineering and financial economics.

Dr. Lai Xin visited RMI from 16 July to 13 August 2018. Dr. Lai received his PhD in Statistics from University of Science and Technology of China. He has also received a joint PhD from City University of Hong Kong. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Management, Xi’an Jiaotong University. His research interests are primarily in the areas of the statistical methods for multi-centre data, including long-term survivor models, competing risk models with dependent censorship, and applications of generalized linear mixed models.

Dr. Qin Cong visited RMI from 19 July to 15 August 2018. Dr. Qin Cong received his PhD in Financial Mathematics from Soochow University in China, in December 2014. His primary research interests are in mathematical finance and economics, partial differential equations, and stochastic control. Currently, he is working on the several projects related to exhaustible resources and bitcoin.
